Asia's first cylindrical "offshore oil and gas processing plant" successfully launched

The main body of "Offshore Oil 122" is composed of two parts: the hull and the upper functional module. The maximum diameter is about 90 meters. The main deck area is equivalent to 13 standard basketball courts, and the height is equivalent to nearly 30 floors. The building weighs approximately 36,000 tons and is composed of nearly 500,000 parts. The main body has a designed displacement of 100,000 tons, a maximum oil storage capacity of 60,000 tons, a designed life of 30 years, and can operate continuously at sea for 15 years without returning to dock.

It is reported that Haiyang Shiyou 122" is the first cylindrical FPSO used in Asian waters. After completion, it will serve in the Liuhua Oilfield in the Pearl River Mouth Basin. Compared with traditional ship types, the cylindrical type FPSO is smaller in size, more compact in space, has significantly improved oil storage efficiency, and has significant advantages such as strong ability to withstand harsh sea conditions, less steel consumption, and high economic applicability, providing a new choice for the economical and efficient development of my country's deepwater oil and gas fields.

In the next step, "Haiyang Shiyou 122" will conduct hull inclination test, cabin structure strength test, lifeboat throwing and other work as planned. It is expected to be towed to the anchorage in early May, using dry towing and wet towing phases. The combined form is transported to the Pearl River Estuary Basin for offshore installation.
